Contraindications to spa treatment include:

• Acute and chronic infectious diseases;
• Fully symptomatic circulatory and respiratory failure;
• severe bleeding tendency;
• Mental disease, significant mental retardation;
• Decrepitude complete patient’s inability to self-care;
• Significant urinary incontinence;
• Alcohol and drug abuse;
• Epilepsy with frequent seizures
• Active neoplastic disease;
• Status post surgical or conservative treatment of tumours:
  - of kidney, malignant melanoma, leukaemia and Hodgkin's disease within 5 years
  - other within 1 year from the completion of treatment
• Acute inflammatory and ischaemic heart disease;
• Dangerous cardiac arrhythmia including paroxysmal atrial fibrillation with ECG changes within last 6 months;
• Arterial hypertension grade III with 2 or more risk factors.
