Town

First mention of the local mineral water springs was made as early as 1580. Many distinguished visitors – notably Sir Winston Churchill – have stayed here. Kudowa Zdrój is located between The Stołowe Mountains (with their amazing characteristic rock formations containing secret passages and labyrinths) and Wzgórza Lewińskie. The centre of the health resort lies approximately 400 metres above sea level. Spatially, Kudowa has a 19th century layout composed of magnificent guest homes in beautiful gardens with modest, simple buildings providing the infrastructure. At the heart of the resort is the English style Spa Park. The park's wooded area is primarily made up of well-known tree species and numerous natural monuments. Carpets of flowers together with magnificent plantings of rhododendrons within the park fill visitors with awe. In Kudowa it is not only Nature's gracious beauty that provides relaxation and healing. A well-developed network of restaurants helps visitors to satisfy their epicurean needs and also invites participation in good music and dancing.
